The Annual July Trip to Montana
This is a picture of the main street of
Phillipsburg, Montana, an old mining town that's several miles from
Interstate 90 between Drummond and Anaconda. There is a great ice
cream parlor on one side of the street and a store that sells sapphires
on the other side. This picture was taken looking to the west.
Between Phillipsburg and Anaconda is
the Georgetown Lake, a high mountain lake that's a paradise during the
summer months.
And here I am once again, getting older
by the minute, wearing the same shirt I've worn to the Big Sky
Practical Shooting Club's annual match. There's not a lot to
report from the match itself. I used the same Colt .38 Super as
in previous years, but just managed to finish three of the five stages
due to an ongoing illness. It was a victory just to be there
under the circumstances.
I look forward to this match to see friends from Montana, in particular
Paul Miner who is the head of the local club.
