Five Stages - No Waiting

I haven't been shooting a lot this summer, but did manage to join Paul Miner (shown above), Jerry McManus, Crow Carter, and many others at a great match held on Saturday August 28th in Bigfork, Montana.  There were a lot of women shooting that day...

Take a close look at the picture above.  Notice the extra belt loops below the regular ones.  This is a serious competitor.  As an NRA instructor, and Training Counselor candidate, I have done considerable study of the physical differences between men and women.  Women don't raise their arms as high as men in relation to their waists, so the best way to compensate for that, and for reaching for the longer 10 round magazines, is to do just what this person has done:  lower and anchor the belt.  Very smart.

We also had the requisite number of senior division geezers trying to keep up with men and women who appeared to be on leave from duty with the Navy SEAL teams.  Here are a couple of shots of seniors, first Jerry then me.  Jerry is shooting a stage designed by Andy Flack.  I'm trying to knock down some poppers before going back to the paper targets.

Andy is the Range Officer in both pictures.
